As calisthenics is a team sport, commitment to classes is very important. Our classes are held in Craigieburn and generally run through school holidays. Each team competes in 4 competitions each year from July to October; attendance at competitions is compulsory.
Classes for 2024 resume in February.
Solos
Calisthenics is predominantly a team sport, however there are also solo competitions available. Students who demonstrate exceptional ability may be invited to participate in solos by the Club. Girls competing in solo competitions must reach the minimum level of pupil skills set out by CV and Raieburn.
Pupil Skills
Pupil skills classes are offered for the June / July exam period each year. Classes run for 8-10 weeks, after which the student demonstrates their knowledge of the syllabus to an adjudicator for critique. This is a great way for students to improve their technique and knowledge of calisthenics, and all students at Raieburn are encouraged to participate.
